Every year on Record Store Day we host a very special afternoon of live music showcasing original music performed by some really talented artists.

TOM MEE - a young singer, songwriter, guitarist who played here a couple of years ago
STEVE BUTTERCASE - a not so young singer, songwriter, guitarist, playing here for the first time accompanied by a few friends
IAN McCULLY - a brilliant guitarist who played here last year
SNOWDEER - one of Cambridgeshire's best new bands. Bethany and Jude played their debut gig here last year. Playing this year with their full band.
LOST CHIMES - Record Store Day regulars Gemma and Nicky Kirk are returning for the 5th year. They are renowned for their emotive live performances and storytelling and they can always be guaranteed to bring something new.

Whole day of music!
We have DJ's and Live Music throughout the day. The DJ's are people of all ages (our youngest this time is 9) who are customers or come along to our open decks night's (called The Joy of Decks). We've got 2 local bands playing too, Where's Mabel who played recently at our Under 18's Open Mic Night, and Slight Return.

Record Store Day is back on Saturday, 18th April. We'll have all 500+ exclusive RSD releases on sale from 8am in the shop with live sets kicking off the party from 1pm.

Northampton Garden Fair with Dj's
DJs and bar instore at Vinyl Underground from 1100-1700. We are also running an RSD record fair (no RSD releases available there) with DJs at the Black Prince, 15 Abington Square, Northampton NN1 4AE from 1030-2230.
